evolv1 Welcomes TD Sustainable Future Lab

Waterloo’s first dedicated cleantech accelerator program will open in December 2018

Evolv1 is only weeks away from celebrating the building’s official grand opening after over 2 years of planning and collaboration to create Canada’s first Zero Carbon Building – Design certified building in The David Johnston Research and Technology Park. This Fall, evolv1 will welcome the TD Sustainable Future Lab to the park, a unique cleantech accelerator launched with the Accelerator Centre to help build Canada’s low-carbon economy.

The Lab will be the centerpiece of a new cleantech community hub, evolvGREEN and offer support and mentorship to startups that are working to develop sustainable solutions for a clean economy and foster a culture of sustainability.

“The spirit of evolv1 is collaboration, fostering an environment to come together to provide tangible, innovate solutions to the environmental problems we are facing,” said Adrian Conrad, COO of The Cora Group. “It is great to see Canadian business recognizing the need for support and playing their part in driving Canadas low carbon economy.”

The TD Sustainable Future Lab will have a goal of supporting 40 cleantech startups over the next five years and will officially open its doors in December 2018.
