Working together to build a clean economy
On April 12, Sustainable Waterloo Region held their 9th annual Evening of Recognition at Wilfrid Laurier University celebrating the accomplishments and stories of sustainability in our region. The Cora Group’s evolv1 imagined in partnership with Sustainable Waterloo Region, EY and the David Johnston Research + Technology Park was recognized in the organization’s 2017 Year-End Report. Working together to build a clean economy.
The report highlights our work to construct evolv1 in accord with LEED Platinum principles and create the first multi-tenant building of its kind in Canada targeting Net Positive Energy. Sustainable Waterloo Region continues to work with a variety of partners on the creation of the evolvGREEN—a sustainability innovation hub to foster the development of the local clean economy and build a culture of sustainability in the building. Construction is on schedule for a mid-2018 opening with EY Canada, TextNow, and evolveGreen as anchor tenants.
The Cora Group continues to work with Sustainable Waterloo Region through partnership and involvement in their Regional Sustainability Initiative Program, helping organizations in Waterloo Region assess their environmental impact and set carbon, waste, and water targets. Together, we’re working to build a clean economy.
